Hello to LAVP Members and  Supporters,
 
Let’s have a great turnout at the Los Altos GSA Parade
on Sunday.   
 
As you know, the Los Altos City Council turned down a
request from Los Altos High students for a Gay Pride
Day proclamation.  City influentials and local
organizations responded.  

The result is a parade in downtown Los Altos to honor
the students of the Gay Straight Alliance of Los Altos
High School.
 
The Steering Committee of Los Altos Voices for Peace
agreed to be a sponsor of the parade and to march as a
group.  We urge you to join us and show your support
for Los Altos High students.
 
The parade will step off at 12 noon,  Sunday, June 4,
starting next to Maltby’s restaurant in the parking
plaza at Fourth and State Streets.  The parade will
wind once through downtown and end up at the corner of
Main and State Streets at the Clock Tower for a brief
program.  The event should conclude by 1:30 p.m.  

Please be at Maltby’s by 11:30 a.m. to join the
parade.  Look for the LAVP banner.

As one of our members noted, “without tolerance, you
can’t have peace.”  Please help us send that message
to our community.  March with us.
