Voices for Peace:

Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice is bringing an
> expert and fascinating pair of speakers to Unitarian
Universalist Church of Palo Alto Thursday evening the
21st, preceded by a candlelight vigil for peace.
> 
> 7:00pm - 7:25pm - Candlelight Vigil in front of the
> church  (505 East Charleston Road · Palo Alto). 
Join with people across the US in nationwide
> candlelight vigils on Thursday, September 21 as we
> mark the beginning of a week of actions to end the
US
> occupation of Iraq.  This day, designated by the
> United Nations as the International Day of Peace, is
> celebrated around the globe as a call for world
> peace.

>  Bring your own candles if possible, but we'll have
> extras.  If you wish, bring signs or banners to
> express why we are there.  We will end promply at
