LAVP Members and Friends,

Monday, Nov. 12 is the date for the next regular meeting on LAVP.  Hope you can join us for discussions of a number of timely issues, including:

--Iraqi/American Emad Yahya's presentation at the Los Altos Library on Nov. 28.  LAVP is the co-sponsor with the Library.  

--Peninsula and South Bay Iraq Moratorium Program:  Next up is a rally and picketing at Jeppesen Corp., in San Jose on Friday, Nov. 16.  Jeppesen is a CIA contractor aiding in the ""extraordinary rendition" program.

--Counter-recruitment:  What can we do?

--Scott Ritter's book, "Waging Peace"

--Issues discussion:  CodePink "blood on the hands;"  where does LAVP go from here--Iran, 4,000 death commemoration, etc., etc.

--Regular reports


Please let us know any any additional items you would like on the agenda.  And please join us Monday night.

In the meantime, we wanted to share a moving photo presentation, "Flags of Sorrow," from the University of Oregon in Eugene.  Red flags symbolize U.S. deaths in Iraq, white flags civilian deaths.  Here is the URL.
