[lavplist] Iraq Today: LAVP Presents a Timely Program

LAVP Members and Friends, 
   
  You are invited to an important LAVP event on November 28 at the Los Altos Public Library (7 p.m., Program Room).  Emad Yahya is an Iraqi-American who recently traveled to the Mideast.  His observations are timely and relevant, and he will be making a presentation titled,   "Iraq: The War, the People, and the Future."   The Library is co-sponsor of the program.

  Emad Yahya has been President of the Arab-American Cultural Center (AACC) of Silicon Valley  since 2006.   He was born in California in 1965 to an Iraqi father and American mother.  He was raised and went to school in Iraq, and today continues to have family living in Baghdad and Mosul, Iraq.  He visits Iraq and the Middle East at least once a year.
   
  He earned BS and MSc degrees in Civil Engineering from University of Mosul, Iraq, and was awarded an MBA from San Jose State University in 2000.  He currently works the in the electronics Industry.
   
  His presentation will be informative and provocative and a question and answer session will follow.  Refreshments will be served at 7 p.m. prior to his presentation.
