[lavplist] A Special Request from PPJC

Hello LAVP Members and Supporters,

I'm sure most of you are aware of the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center (PPJC) and the invaluable work it does in support and coordination of peace and justice causes on our Peninsula.  

Paul George, executive director of PPJC, is making a special appeal to local peace groups for financial support.  The Steering Committee of LAVP agrees PPJC deserves assistance from the wider peace community in our area.  Here is Paul's message:


"We currently have a challenge fund of $7500  -- a dollar-for-dollar matching fund that has been put up by several PPJC members.  We have to raise that much in donations from new members (or from previous members who haven't donated in two years or more) or we don't get the match.  The matching period runs out at the end of this month and we're still short."
